| THE EXAM
The experienced staff begins the exam with important pre-tests using up-to-date technology including a detailed eye and medical history. One of our board certified optometrists will assess eye muscle integrity and balance, pupillary function, peripheral vision screeners, and a refraction at both distance and near. Following, they will examine the external and internal health of the eyes through mild pupil dilation. Contact lenses can be specifically fitted, based on your refraction and lifestyle, to fit your needs. Our corneal topographer individually maps the precise curvature of your cornea to aid in the selection of the right contact lens for your eye. They will thoroughly examine the eyes for glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, cataracts, and several other ocular conditions. The doctors will be able to monitor the health of the eye and show the patient a digital photograph of the internal structures without dilating the eyes utilizing our newest equipment, the Optos, EyeMaginations, an interactive 3-D educational tool, fully explains and displays the results of the examination. |
